Wayside Food Programs

Wayside Food Programs is a non-profit organization in Southern Maine that works to fight hunger by rescuing food, providing community meals, and operating mobile food pantries. Key initiatives include its Food Rescue Program, which salvages and redistributes food from grocery stores and other sources; Community Meals, which offers free, weekly communal meals to build social support; and Mobile Food Pantries, which delivers groceries to underserved neighborhoods. The organization also administers government programs like The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and partners with local agencies to increase food access.
